This is the next part of continuous upcoming events of BINUS Center and Gama Baswara Nusantara collaboration in effort to search for creative young people talent in LIGHTING Industry.
LIGHTING DESIGN COURSE MODULE 1.1
Description: The lighting design short-course is open to students and professionals who need knowledge and skills in lighting design. Module 1.1. is fundamental module thus it will be easy to understand by architects, interior designers, and anyone who is interested in lighting design. The course will be delivered in 20% theory and 80% practice. The course is structured based on professional experience in lighting design.
What you will learn:
- Day 1 Light Qualitative. Theory and practice in training the eye’s sensitivity to lighting including contrast, color, light and shadow. Active learning in analyzing lighting situations.
- Day 2 Light Quantitative. Photometric theory and practice in understanding quantitative units in lighting. Learn the principles of lighting design and exploration in designed ambiance. Active learning to deepen understanding and experience light ambiance with display room facilities and lighting fixtures.
- Day 3 Lighting Design Workshop. Workshop on planning lighting design case studies for interior spaces. Under the guidance of a professional lighting designer, participants will go through the lighting planning process as carried out in the professional world. The design process will be facilitated by display space, lighting fixtures and lighting control.
- Day 4 Presentation and Final Review. Group presentation, exploration of lighting experiences resulting from the workshop using Virtual Reality (VR) devices, evaluation and discussion with professional lighting designers.
